Social Prescribing to be launched by Redbridge CVS

This month's Redbridge CVS network meeting will feature the launch of Redbridge CVS's social prescribing project.

Social prescribing is a new way for the NHS and voluntary sector to work together. It's about GPs providing support for their patients by referring them to community groups.

That service will be provided at RedbridgeCVS by our hugely successful team of Health and Wellbeing Buddies, who will ensure that patients and community groups link up successfully.

We'll also be very pleased to welcome Matthew Ryder, Deputy Mayor of London for Social Integration, Social Mobility and Community Engagement, to the meeting.

The meeting runs from 1 to 2.30pm on Wednesday 5 July, and takes place on the 5th floor, RedbridgeCVS, Forest House, Clements Rd, Ilford IG1 1BA. Everyone connected to a local voluntary or community group is welcome. Sandwiches are available from 12.30pm
