N1K UR REG

the Safer neighbourhoods logoA couple of years back we had a water main failure, bear with me. In the evening I went down to Clayhall Avenue to find out what was happening. A mate drew up on the way home from work. He was moaning about how he was not able to have a shower that morning or a cup of tea, and also that his partner’s red Fiesta had had its number plates stolen that very morning. Oh! I said there’s a red Fiesta just over there by the width restriction that has just been collared by the Police, the driver having done a runner. Yup, the number plates on that iffy Fiesta were those that were stolen from his partner’s car.

So, it is with great pleasure that we can announce that the Fairlop Safer Neighbourhood Team have organised an event at 12noon on Saturday 6th December in the Jack Carter Pavillion car park to offer anyone who wishes some security screws to refit their number plates to their car and to give advice in protecting their car.

They will also be offering advice on protecting houses in the run up to Christmas, as for burglars it is their favourite time of year as well, as people are more likely to have high value gifts for relatives and families. This may be an event directed at number plates, vehicles and burglaries but feel free to ask any other questions that you want answered. They will do their best to answer them.

  1. Question for Fairlop Police Team: would they arrest our MP if he upset the Guvvinmint?

  2. Only if he had passed on David Sevant's leeks!

  3. Just as well for Damian Green that Cressida Dick was not overseeing the arrest.

  4. Barkingside 21 appears to have eyes on my leeks.
I'd better get down to the allotment and dig them up sharpish.

  6. David hasn't been burying his leeks, he's been 'grooming' them.

  7. In response to Morris would this be the Dick who docked Green?
