Lee Scott, Conservative
- #IlfordNorth #GE2017

Intro: All known candidates for the Ilford North constituency in the 2017 General Election have been offered 400 words on this blog. They will be published if and when they are received. Click the GE2017 label below to see all in one view. We also have Hustings on May 25th.

This election is one of the most important in our lifetime. Not only must your next MP effectively represent your local concerns, your next Prime Minister must get Britain the best possible deal to secure our growing economy. Every vote for me is a vote for Theresa May’s strong and stable leadership for Britain.

Local people need an MP who understands the realities of life in Ilford North. My family and I have lived in this area for forty years. We use the same local services as you, so I know how important it is to ensure we have a growing economy to fund these vital public services.

I will make it a priority to:
  • work in partnership with local organisations such as Barkingside 21 to address the local issues close to your heart
  • defend our local NHS services against the damaging scaremongering that undermines staff morale and threatens patient care
  • stop Labour from building over our green spaces and playing fields including Oakfields Playing Fields
  • fight over-development of the borough - for example, opposing plans for a six-storey building that will dwarf neighbouring family homes
  • continue my work to create meaningful jobs for young people with special needs who deserve the same opportunities as other school-leavers
  • work with local businesses and nearby employers to provide more apprenticeships for local people
Vote for me to be a strong local MP making your voice heard in a Theresa May government, bringing issues to those who have the power to make a real difference.

If you want your concerns to go direct to the heart of Government, choose an MP has the access to those in his party who are in charge.

That’s me. Vote for me, Lee Scott, on 8 June.

  1. Lee Scotts last tenure caused a lot of racial divisions in the borough. Redbridge needs someone who isn't so divisive

  2. It's Tory cuts which are undermining NHS staff. The closing of King George's A and E is still the plan. If Lee had bothered being in parliament when he was an MP and voted for his constituents to keep their rights for proper consultation on the closure of services this might not be the case

  3. Oakfield was actually originally planned by the council when the conservatives ran it

Oh yeah! This "ear of the minister" thing worked really well in 2011 when the dispensible Lee Scott was over ruled and the decision to close KGH A&E was set in stone by Andrew Lansley.

  5. Where are you Lee Scott ? Not one Tory rep knocked on my door …I've had 8 Labour reps fighting their cause…3 already today, Polling day! And what happened to my and my neighbours Polling cards? Quite s lot have apparently gone missing! Not your place to know, but yours to question. A very Poor campaign if you lose it's your fault!
