Green Waste Reminder
- collections now all year round

We are asked by the Recycling Department at Redbridge council to remind readers that the Green Waste collection service is now all year round and that this winter there is no need to book a collection.
Garden waste collections are scheduled for the day after your refuse and recycling collection.

More details can be found on the award winning Redbridge-i – for example they will not take Timber or logs bigger than 10cm wide by 120cm long, so anything like this you will need to chop up into smaller pieces…..

  1. All very well but why can they not collect from flats. We are told that it is not allowed. Probably half of Redbridge accommodation is flats.

    1. I do not recall generating much green waste when I lived in a flat - probably because flats are flats and don't have gardens?

This is great. Far too many councils are stopping collections in early November which really makes no sense as November and December are the two months where all the fallen leaves have to be dealt with.

    1. Thank you for your comment gwb. I hope you don't mind but I've removed the link to your advertisement for the purchase of garden waste bags as we here in Redbridge get them for free.

    2. So it was really a thwarted attempt at commercial exploitation of the blog for free then?
