Barkingside Promotion

This coming autumn will see the start of the 2013/14 football season and will be Barkingside Football Club’s first season at Ryman League level. Last season saw the team enjoy possibly the greatest season in the club’s 115-year history as they secured a stunning 9-1 Essex Senior League cup final win over Bowers & Pitsea to go with a club-best runners-up place in the Essex Senior League behind fellow-promoted Burnham Ramblers.

It was truly a heroic effort by everyone at the club from chairman Jimmy Flanagan, to manager Matt Frew and the brilliant players, right down to the staff and the fans. It was a feat few would have imagined occurring at the start of the season as the team kept plugging away with great results being matched by great attacking performances. Truly everyone played their part in 2012/13 and now so can you!

Barkingside FC are proud to announce a society which will be known as the ‘Friends of Barkingside FC’ which will aim to strengthen the football club and reward the club’s supporters (new, present and old).

The club believe it is important to move forward into a new era to help secure the club’s future and it will be important to build on existing relationships in and within our community and to build on them to improve all aspects of the club.

All fans that attend our games make a huge difference and are appreciated by the club. You help keep the club going and make the Oakside a great place to be on match-days and you have helped create the ‘feel-good-family-friendly’ atmosphere which is in many ways part of the club’s identity.

The primary goal of the Friends of Barkingside FC is to help those who run, administer and play for Barkingside. These objectives include its existence and well-being, and to promote the club’s activates in an open and friendly manner to help improve the club’s standing in and around the local community.

All members will able to help and support where necessary. Members will benefit by receiving discounts on club merchandise and on goods from local companies who the club will have/already has relationships with.

Membership costs £5.00 per season and members are entitled to attend one game free as a result. Appications can be sent to 66 Kingsland Road, Plaistow, London E13 9PA or handed to Jimmy
Flanagan at the ground. Cheques should be made payable to Barkingside FC.

So if you love Barkingside FC and want to get involved with the ‘Friends of Barkingside FC’ contact either confclothing@aol.com or barkingsidefcmedia@hotmail.co.uk for more information or speak to chairman Jimmy Flanagan down at the club.

Together we can enjoy the journey!
