London Safety (Fire Brigade) Consultation

Right, we’ve had our Maternity unit closed down and our only Accident & Emergency Unit is still under threat. We’ve had the consultation on the Police Service cuts efficiency measures and station closures, and now to complete the set we have a consultation on the Fire Service and station closures.

The rather hefty “Fifth London Safety Plan 2013-2016” can be viewed as a pdf file (2Mb).

The extremely irritating 1980s BBC Microesque webpage of the London Fire Brigade explains all, if you can read it. You might need to hit CONTROL A to reverse the polarity.

The schedule for Public Meetings is also on that website but just in case you can’t find Redbridge in the alphabetical list, you need to look under Havering.

It is to be held on Monday 3 June at 7pm-9pm in the Lambourne Room at Ilford Town Hall, High Road, Ilford.

And what is Harry Redknapp doing in a Fireman’s Uniform?

  2. At least 21 London tower blocks rated as a high fire risk by local councils were not visited by firefighters last year via BBC
