Redbridge Conversation 2013

"Redbridge Council is once again giving residents a say on how it should make savings as it launches Redbridge Conversation 2013.

This is the fourth year that we have run the Redbridge Conversation, which asks residents where they believe the Council should make savings and how we could raise income.

The Government’s deficit plan is having a significant impact on the Council’s budget - so in the last year alone we have had to make savings of £10m.

Going forward we believe that we will need to make savings of up to £33m over the next three years. We are a growing Borough, which puts extra demand on our services.

Thousands of you have had your say via the Redbridge Conversation in previous years and you said that you wanted to see the Council become more efficient and reduce back office costs - which we have done. More>>>>

Our latest proposals for how we can save money are now in You Choose, our online budget consultation tool. Tell us how you think we should make savings."

I must say that I am looking forward to You Choose 2014 when we will have the added excitement of Local Elections in the mixer …
