I suppose I could look in wikipedia but somebody might know.
Was the decimal system in use when the Bible was originally written? I don't suppose they were using Roman Numerals but a number system must have been used.
I think I know that Arabic Numbers were acquired from the Sanscrit system.

ReplyDelete666 appears in the New Testament in the book of Revelations, so they probably were using Roman Numerals. Scholars interpret this number as a code for the Roman Emperor, coz they didn’t want to get fed to the lions. Apparently the original number is 616. See
