And on a more positive note. Sunday 18th March is the London Wildlife Trust’s Frog Day. This year Spring is early and reports of early frogspawn abound. Green Ladywell in Lewisham has some in her pond already and DGS reports that the gulley in Claybury Park that runs parallel with Ravensbourne Gardens and feeds the lake is full of it. The lake by the way is full to the brim, a far cry from last summer when it was almost baked dry. Frogs, apparently, eat slugs which makes them one of the gardener’s friends. Weather forecast for next week is heavy snow. Oh well!A Local community and environment group within the Agenda 21 framework that arose from the 1992 Earth summit in Rio de Janeiro.
